Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Ciphera, operated by STEVEDEV DIGITAL SERVICES, registered in Nigeria. By using Ciphera, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptable use

You agree to use Ciphera only for lawful purposes. You must not use Ciphera to: • Share illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, content that facilitates violence, or material that infringes on the rights of others. • Distribute malware, ransomware, viruses, or other malicious software. • Harass, threaten, or harm any individual. • Circumvent legal obligations or court orders. • Engage in fraud, phishing, or identity theft. We reserve the right to terminate access and report illegal use to relevant authorities.

2. No warranty

Ciphera is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. While we take security seriously and the zero-knowledge architecture provides strong technical guarantees, we cannot warrant uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, or fitness for any particular purpose.

3. Limitation of liability

STEVEDEV DIGITAL SERVICES is not liable for any damages arising from use of Ciphera, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of secrets, or security incidents resulting from user behaviour (such as sharing a link with an unintended recipient).

4. Data and content

You retain ownership of any content you encrypt and share via Ciphera. Because content is encrypted client-side and we cannot access it, we have no ability to moderate encrypted secrets. You are solely responsible for the content you share.

5. Service availability

We aim to provide reliable uptime but do not guarantee it. Secrets approaching their expiry may be deleted slightly before or during scheduled maintenance windows. We are not liable for secrets lost due to service interruptions.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The latest version will always be published at this URL with an updated date.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
