About us
Built for privacy.
No compromises.
Ciphera was built because sharing sensitive information online should not require trusting a platform. With zero-knowledge encryption, it does not have to.
Our mission
Every day, people share passwords, API keys, credentials and sensitive documents through email, WhatsApp, Slack and SMS — tools that store your data, log your messages and leave trails. Ciphera exists to be the opposite of that.
Your secret is encrypted in your browser before it is ever sent anywhere. The encryption key lives only in the URL fragment — a part of the URL that browsers never send to servers. We store only ciphertext. We cannot read your secrets. Nobody can, except the person you share the link with.
Why zero-knowledge matters
Most secure sharing tools encrypt data in transit but decrypt it on the server before storing it. That means the platform can read your data — and so can anyone who compromises their servers.
Zero-knowledge means the platform mathematically cannot read your data. Encryption happens client-side, the key stays in the URL fragment, and the server only ever receives ciphertext it has no key for. Even if our entire database was leaked, every secret in it would be unreadable.
